ACCEPTED
FILE FORMATS AND RESOLUTION
Artwork
can be accepted either in 600dpi printed or in digital form in one of the following
formats: PDF, Photoshop EPS, TIF, PSD, WMF or AI. Customer must provide fonts when
necessary to reproduce text in graphic files.
High resolution artwork is normally available in one of the above listed formats.
Low resolution artwork (i.e., most Web .GIF or .JPG clipart) is not suitable
for camera-ready print production and cannot be accepted.
Preferred resolution: 600 dpi (Minimum resolution: 300 dpi).
 |
|
|
High-res
artwork provides a sharp
image when enlarged or printed.
|
Low
resolution artwork becomes
pixelated (jagged) when enlarged.
|
Please note: As there is no visible quality improvement in foil hotstamping on album
cover materials using resolutions higher than 600 dpi, there is no advantage to providing
artwork of a higher resolution - it will be reduced to 600 dpi in the creation of
the die.
