WHAT
IS SCRAPBOOK EMBOSSING?
Often
referred to as scrapbook embossing, album embossing, stamping or engraving, technically the process
is called "foil hotstamping" or "debossing". An embossing process
raises the affected area, while a hotstamping process lowers ("debosses")
the affected area.
Basically, a hotstamping
process uses a combination of pressure and heat to deboss the item and adhere a metallic
or pigmented foil to the affected area. Originally, gold leaf was used but today's
polymer-based materials enable greater control and more color variety. By the way,
hot stamping without foil is called "blind debossing".
Regardless of what
you call the process, there are basically two ways to stamp photo albums and scrapbooks:
1.) Small, relatively
low-cost portable tabletop machines, hand or power operated.
2.) Industrial-scale
equipment with greater capabilities and higher quality results.

Goldstamp's
industrial-scale equipment provides many advantages including the ability to use
digital typefaces, larger designs, debossing effects and higher quality results.
GOLDSTAMP
SETS THE STANDARD
Goldstamp,
the original scrapbook imprinting company, sets the standard in album personalization,
providing service for more brands and models of scrapbooks and photo albums than
any other company - popular brands like Close to My Heart, Creative Memories, Dalee,
Forever Yours, Mrs. Grossman's, ScrapArtistry, Webway, Westrim and more.
BETTER
QUALITY, MORE CHOICES
Goldstamp's proprietary system, invented and developed by Goldstamp Technologies,
is called "goldstamping". This system marries time-proven methods of hot
stamping with computer technology to enable larger text titles, larger graphic designs, multi-color designs, more
attractive fonts, and higher quality debossing that would be impossible using lesser
methods.
If you've not seen GoldStamp's quality finish, you really owe it to yourself give
it a try. There's no better way to experience the difference this unique process
makes in personalizing your album covers. Whether you have a single album or an entire
shelf full, you will be pleasantly surprised once you see your completed
album covers.
